Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and pragmatic
Chief Human Resources Officer
to join the executive leadership team. This newly created role will be global in scope, responsible for developing and executing the company's people strategy to support its ambitious growth trajectory. The CHRO will report directly to the CEO and lead a team of approximately six HR professionals.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader with international experience, ideally within medical technology or related industries, who thrives in dynamic, entrepreneurial environments. The CHRO will play a critical role in shaping the organization's culture, driving global HR initiatives, and aligning talent strategies with the strategic goals of the business and its private equity stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the CEO, executive team, and private equity owners to define and implement a global HR strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a team of six HR professionals, ensuring effective HR operations across all regions.
  • Build scalable HR processes and frameworks to support global growth, including talent acquisition, leadership development, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on organizational design, employee engagement, and workforce planning.
  • Oversee all aspects of HR operations, including compliance, compensation & benefits, and employee relations, with a hands-on, pragmatic approach.
  • Support international expansion initiatives, particularly in Europe (UK, France, and beyond), by ensuring HR practices align with local requirements and business needs.
  • Foster a high-performance culture that emphasizes accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Serve as the primary HR liaison with private equity owners, providing transparency, reporting, and strategic input on talent matters.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven track record in senior HR leadership roles with
    global responsibility

  • Strong preference for candidates with
    medical technology, life sciences, or related industry experience
    .
  • Hands-on, pragmatic leader with the ability to balance strategic thinking and operational execution.
  • Experience working in
    private equity-backed companies
    is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Strong knowledge of international HR practices, employment law, and compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Willingness to
    relocate to Slovenia
    if not already based there; daily presence in the Ljubljana office is required.
