Role Description The IZKUŠENI RAČUNOVODJA / ACC Senior Associate is a full-time, hybrid role based in Ljubljana, with some work-from-home flexibility. This role involves performing day-to-day accounting tasks such as posting journal entries, preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, and reconciling ledgers and bank accounts. The Senior Associate supports tax and compliance activities, prepares documentation for audits, and ensures adherence to local and international accounting standards. The role includes collaborating with tax, legal, and IT experts, communicating with clients regarding their financial records, and contributing to process improvements and internal controls. The person in this position is expected to manage deadlines, participate in project work, and provide high-quality, detail-oriented service. Qualifications Strong accounting knowledge, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and familiarity with local and international accounting standards. Experience with tax compliance and preparation of supporting documentation for audits and regulatory filings. Proficiency with accounting software, Excel, and related IT tools used for financial analysis and reporting. Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment and cooperate with tax, legal, finance, and IT teams. Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Strong written and spoken communication skills; ability to communicate clearly with clients and colleagues. Relevant education in accounting, finance, or business administration; professional certifications are an advantage. Previous experience in an accounting or advisory role, preferably in a corporate or consulting environment. High level of integrity, commitment to confidentiality, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
