Senior Back-office Engineer

Do you have experience building back-end systems and admin tools, and want to own an entire product area yourself? Join Timeless Tech, a company with over 15 years of experience building B2B technology solutions for the international iGaming industry. We’re looking for a Senior Back-office Engineer to own, end to end, the back office operators use to run their own tournaments, promotions and content. You’ll have a direct impact on how our partners use the platform every day. What you’ll do
• Own the back office end to end: the back-office API and UI.
• Build staff and operator authentication: passkeys, sessions, roles and grants, multi-tenant scope enforcement and approval queues.
• As your first job, build the approval queue for actions that involve money.
• Build content authoring: schema-driven forms, templates with safeguards, validation, curation and operator onboarding.
• Write tests and ship reliable releases.
• Work from written specs in an AI-assisted workflow. What we’re looking for
• At least 5 years of experience building production applications.
• Strong TypeScript and Node.js for REST services.
• React, with tests.
• Experience with MongoDB.
• Authentication and multi-tenancy.
• Solid API design and a strong habit of testing your own work.
• The ability to own a product area on your own.
• Fluent English. Nice to have
• Docker Swarm, nginx and Redis.
• Experience with passkeys/WebAuthn, or approval and audit-trail systems.
• Experience in iGaming or another regulated B2B industry. How we work You’ll work with our lead engineer, who focuses on content, the player-facing lobby and player metrics, while you own the back office. We run the project in Jira, work from written specs and use AI tools extensively. We’re a small team, so you’ll be close to the people who decide what gets built. We’re looking for someone who works independently, asks questions early and is comfortable pushing back when an approach doesn’t make sense. Location 📍 Ljubljana / Nova Gorica, Slovenia, or remote We prefer candidates based in or near Ljubljana or Nova Gorica who can work from our office from time to time. Remote work is also possible, as long as your
