Role Description The Experienced Transcriber for Slovenian Project will be responsible for accurately transcribing Slovenian audio and video content into written form, following established guidelines and project-specific standards. Daily tasks include listening to recordings, verifying speaker turns, ensuring correct spelling and grammar, and maintaining consistency in terminology and formatting. The role also involves reviewing and correcting automated transcripts, performing quality checks, and meeting assigned deadlines while handling sensitive or confidential information with care. This is a full-time remote role, requiring reliable access to a computer, secure internet, and the ability to collaborate with project managers and quality reviewers across time zones.
Qualifications
• Strong Slovenian language skills, including excellent listening comprehension, spelling, grammar, and vocabulary.
• Prior experience in transcription or linguistic projects, especially with Slovenian audio and video content.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency when following transcription guidelines and style formats.
• Proficiency with transcription tools, audio players, and basic productivity software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets).
• Ability to manage time effectively, work independently, and deliver high-quality work within strict deadlines in a remote setting.
• Familiarity with data privacy and confidentiality best practices when handling client materials.
• Comfort working in a multicultural, distributed team environment and communicating clearly in English for project coordination.
• Previous experience on freelance platforms or AI data services projects is an advantage; relevant coursework or degree in linguistics, translation, or related fields is beneficial but not required.
