Responsibilities
The key responsibility you will take on in this role will be leading medical/scientific expertise for the therapeutic area working closely with other teams and maintaining appropriate collaborations and relationships with external scientific experts, thought leaders, and other stakeholders.
Your Day-to-day Tasks Will Include
- Build and maintain the required medical/scientific expertise and keep medical knowledge on the therapeutic area updated
- Keep updated with medical and scientific developments in the relevant therapeutic areas
- Understand and keep updated with the preclinical and clinical data of the product & the competitors
- Critically read and evaluate the relevant medical literature, attend and contribute to medical congresses and scientific symposia
- Support development of promotional material by participating in concept generation and available for consultation
- Review and approve promotional material and educational presentations
- Preparing and delivering product knowledge training for the medical representatives
- Provide medical training of other employees (clinical study team, medical, non-medical)
- Address unsolicited scientific questions of HCPs (in cooperation with MedInfo), and support MedInfo with scientific advice and reviewing customized replies
- Prepare or review scientific information in response to customer questions and media requests
- Establish and maintain effective professional relationships with external experts, professional associations, and the general medical community
- Participate in Strategic planning, development of medical brand strategies
- Contribute to activities and deliverables of the PRA organization
- Support the planning of symposia, advisory board meetings, and other meetings with health care professional
- Support Regulatory and PhV with medical expertise
- Review and approve local regulatory labeling and label changes, screening literature for potential AEs, and involvement in risk management
- Participate in Clinical Planning, providing strategic inputs on therapeutic needs and gaps from the local market, reviewing and approving local informed consent documents
- Collaborate with Clinical Research staff in the design, conduct, and reporting
- Knowledge of and compliance with local laws and regulations, and global policies and procedures, compliance guidelines
- Support budget administration with planning & tracking costs
Qualifications & Skills
- University degree in Medicine (MD Degree)
- Relevant work experience in the pharmaceutical industry, in a medical or marketing role
- Proficient in business Slovenian and English
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to prioritize
- Interpersonal, organizational and negotiation skills
- Ability to influence others (both cross-functionally and within the function)
- Excellent teamwork skills
Strong Preference Will Be Given To Candidates With
- Clinical experience in Diabetes & Obesity
- Pharmaceutical or research work experience with diabetes products
- Experience in a dynamic, innovative pharmaceutical company
Other Information
The role is based in Lilly Slovenia. It also requires occasional travel domestically and internationally (approx. 25% of working time).
