Accountant
to join our motivated and professional multi-cultural team based in Ljubljana, Slovenia, with a dynamic culture based on a sense of family and pioneering spirit. This is an in-person position, with some flexibility.

The Role

The role of Accountant will be working with a highly dynamic and collaborative team across Europe and Asia Pacific to ensure smooth financial functions in support of an exciting and innovative business. They will manage the day-to-day finance functions of the Company, with support from the Head of Finance, who is based at the headquarters in Switzerland. This includes cashflow management, general ledger and invoicing clients.

The Responsibilities

  • Execute, reconcile, and document month-end and year-end accounting in line with IFRS.
  • Deliver monthly IFRS P/L and B/S reports.
  • Coordinate audits and conduct financial governance testing.
  • Support the management for ad-hoc financial reports and analysis.
  • Invoicing to clients and accounts receivable management.
  • Controlling of supplier invoices and accounts payable management.
  • Processing international and domestic payments.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Possess a background in accounting.
  • Either qualified or progressing towards CA/CPA/ACCA.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of XERO and Power BI highly desirable.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Experience with multi-currency reconciliation (strongly preferred)
  • Experience in Multi-currency reporting and FX transactions (strongly preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with large volumes of data with a strong attention to detail
  • Team-oriented – contributes to common goals and willingly helps others
  • Responsible – proven capability to work effectively with minimal direction
  • Organised – proven ability to prioritise work and achieve challenging deadlines
  • Proactive – demonstrates commitment to continuous improvement.
