We are looking for an Accountant (m/f) for a company with more than 30 years of tradition
. The company offers a stable working environment and is looking for a long-term collaboration with a new team member. Ideally, the candidate has 2–3 years of experience in accounting. Job responsibilities:

  • Managing accounting for multiple clients (micro, small, and medium-sized companies, sole traders, associations, etc.),
  • Posting invoices, bank statements, fixed assets, and other documents,
  • Payroll calculation, contributions, and other taxes,
  • Preparing various statistical reports (BST, KRD, SFR, ČPPS),
  • Preparing and submitting tax returns (VAT, CIT, personal income tax, etc.) and reports for AJPES and FURS,
  • Assisting in the preparation of annual reports and balance sheets/income statements,
  • Advising clients on accounting and tax matters,
  • Monitoring legislative changes and ensuring clients' compliance,
  • Communicating with clients, inspectors, and other state authorities.

Requirements:

  • Degree in economics or a related field,
  • At least 2–3 years of work experience in accounting,
  • Good knowledge of Slovenian Accounting Standards (SRS) and tax legislation,
  • Experience with postings, payroll, tax returns, and preparation of annual reports (not necessarily fully independently),
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, index/vlookup/if, etc.) and accounting software; experience with the VASCO program is preferred but not required,
  • Accuracy, analytical thinking, responsibility, independence, and confidentiality,
  • Strong communication skills and client advisory ability,
  • Good organizational skills and ability to work under time pressure,
  • Category B driving license and own transport,
  • Basic knowledge of English,
  • Willingness for continuous professional development,
  • Conflict resolution skills.
