Director of Engineering

You have a deep knowledge of how software is developed, but can you combine that knowhow with the leadership skills to guide others and help them grow and progress along their career path? If you can,  then you might be our next Director of Engineering. Playing a crucial role, you'll lead our existing teams of exceptional software and quality engineers, as well as building new teams and guiding them into a bright and successful future.

- Build and lead high performing teams of talented software and quality engineers.

- Set clear team development goals aligned with company plans.

- Ensure that engineering tasks are performed on time and to the highest standards.

- Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and support the growth of team members.

- Cooperate with cross-department teams including designers, product managers, and distributions specialists. 

- Foster a culture of efficiency, innovation, and knowledge sharing.

- Enable the team to constantly improve development processes based on technological advancements and industry trends. 

- Drive the hiring process to acquire and onboard new top talent.

- Strong technical background with an emphasis on modern software engineering practices (games industry experience is a plus).

- Excellent skills in team leadership, resource planning, communication, problem solving, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.

- Fluent in English.

- 5+ years of experience as the manager of a team of software engineers, with a minimum of 5 direct reports.

- Experience in hiring top engineering talent is a plus.

- Track record of successfully delivering complex engineering projects.

- Experience with shipping mobile apps/games, experience in Unity, and passion for games would all be advantageous.

- Employment relationship with Ekipa2 d.o.o. for an indefinite period of time, with a six-month probationary period.
