Commercial Technologist

In your role as Commercial Technologist (m/f/d) in the plating industry, you will be an important part of our future growth strategy. Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for solving customer problems, together with the customer on the customer side. You will also be an important part of our future growth strategy. Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for generating new business for the general metal finishing, like corrosion protection coatings, decorative coatings, wear resistance coatings and paint support treatment. You will report to the Sales Business Manager for Atotech Slovenia local market.

Your responsibilities

• Commercial and technical support visits to current and new clients
• Preparation of commercial and technical offers for customers
• Customer service and participating in service inspections
• Preparation of sales plans and reports for assigned customers
• Testing new treatment processes and introducing them at customer sites
• Informing customers about the safety and environmental aspects of the use of the products
• Handling customer requests and efficient closing of client open receivables
• Keeps up-to-date knowledge of the industry, as well as the competitive posture of the company
• Travel Requirements: Up to 75% of Travel is required

What you bring to the table

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or chemical technology
• Relevant practical work experience in the field of and metal plating processes and their chemical and plated parts analysis
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• You communicate convincingly and confidently in Slovenian, Croatian, Serbian and English language
• B-category driving license
• Confident authentic communicator at eye level combined with excellent project and multi-stakeholder management skills
• A strong sense of responsibility and confidentiality, as you will be handling and analyzing sensitive data
• A structured and independent way of working, but also the ability to work in a team with good communication and interpersonal skills

• Communication and negotiation skills and ability to influence others
• Results-oriented with business understanding and hunter mindset
• SAP knowledge
• Practical experience in the chemical industry
