Medical Doctor

Job Description:

• The candidate will perform the work of a physician in a general practice clinic. Most consultations will be conducted individually, based on the doctor–patient principle. The doctor will also have the opportunity to consult with other physicians.
• The employer does not operate an emergency medical service (EMS) unit. Therefore, the working hours are from Monday to Friday, in a two-shift schedule. If desired, a four-day work week is possible, with Fridays or Mondays off.
• The general practitioner may occasionally be called to assist in emergency medical services when the dispatcher determines that the doctor's presence at the scene is necessary before the ambulance arrives. On average, this occurs once or twice per week. For this additional responsibility, the candidate receives a
  20% higher base gross salary
  .
• If the candidate is a resident, training will be conducted in accordance with the official residency program for general/family medicine.

Requirements:

For a General or Family Medicine Doctor:

• Medical degree (VII/2 or VIII level)
• Completed professional medical examination
• Doctor of Medicine, Specialist in General or Family Medicine
• At least
  5 years of work experience
  (including residency), or
  6 months
  for residents
• Knowledge of the Slovenian language; for foreign candidates – willingness to learn Slovenian to
  C1 level
