SENIOR INTRADAY POWER TRADER 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Intraday Trader to join a forward-thinking energy trading team at the forefront of regional electricity markets. This is a unique opportunity to work in a high-impact role where your decisions directly influence portfolio optimization, market positioning, and the success of innovative trading strategies.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Optimizing a growing trading portfolio that includes cross-border transmission capacities, power purchase agreements, battery storage assets, and other intraday market positions.
  • Identifying, developing, and executing strategies across regional intraday electricity markets.
  • Analyzing market trends, price movements, and fundamental market changes.
  • Collaborating closely with the algorithmic trading team on the development and refinement of automated strategies.
  • Continuously improving trading processes and enhancing risk management protocols.
  • Contributing to various projects and strategic trading initiatives.

What were looking for:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in trading within regional energy markets, with a strong focus on electricity and portfolio optimization.
  • Deep understanding of European power market structures, mechanisms, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong analytical mindset and proficiency with advanced data tools and analytical techniques.
  • Solid technical skills and experience with trading platforms, data analytics software, and programming languages.
  • A proven track record of successful trading and portfolio management in power markets.
  • Proactive attitude, strategic thinking, and excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Fluent in English & Slovene; additional languages are a plus.
