HVAC Technician

The primary role of the HVAC Technician is to tend to any HVAC-related repairs in Charleston Place. While no job description can provide a comprehensive list of job duties, the following is a summary of the major responsibilities for the position.

• Assist our internal departments' staff with all service calls, as well as manage the overall upkeep of our commercial facilities.

• Complete all assigned work orders efficiently and to Resort standards.

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and Refrigeration equipment to ensure longevity and proper usage.

• Perform preventive maintenance as scheduled.

• Perform light plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs.

• Must have an eye for detail in the trade with a focus on refrigeration and HVAC troubleshooting.

• Must possess good organizational and communication skills.

• Uphold the core values, policies, and procedures of the hotel.

• All other duties, as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent. HVAC Certified

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a colleague to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:

• Must lift equipment, supplies, etc. of at least 30 pounds.

• Must resolve problems, handle conflict, and make effective decisions under pressure.

• The role may require extended time on your feet, especially during peak hotel hours or events.

• Clear vision is important for reading reports, analyzing data, and overseeing Concierge activities.

• Good hearing is necessary for effective communication with colleagues, guests, and stakeholders.
