We are seeking an innovative, motivated and ambitious professional to join our team as
Head of Origination in the Trading Department.
One of your main responsibilities will be to lead, coordinate and develop a larger international team that originate new trading products, identifies and creates new business opportunities, and strengthens collaboration with partners across Europe. A key aspect of your role will also be building and enhancing relationships with strategic partners, which may involve frequent business travel.

Your challenges:

  • Lead, coordinate, and organize the work of the Origination team, taking full responsibility for achieving the team's business objectives.
  • Develop and implement new trading products and services, and identify and create new business opportunities based on market trends and the needs of business partners (origination).
  • Build and strengthen relationships with strategic partners across Europe in wholesale markets where GEN-I operates.
  • Oversee projects related to advanced trading services, PPA contracts, and structured products.
  • Collaborate closely with trading and analytics teams to design innovative products and services and ensure their successful implementation.

Our expectations:

  • Experience: Proven leadership experience (at least 3 years) and skills to manage team effectively.
  • Market Expertise: In-depth understanding of the European wholesale energy market, exchange trading, and trading platforms. Excellent knowledge of non-standard products, derivativesm and their management.
  • Educational background: University education, with at least bachelor's or preferably master's degree in technical, economics, electrical engineering or other relevant field.
  • Leadership and Strategic Competencies: Ability to set clear goals and achieve high-value results, strategic thinking, and the ability to build, manage, and develop strong partner relationships.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required, and proficiency in Serbo-Croatian is considered an advantage.
  • Soft Skills: Self-motivated, proactive, commited, decisive, and a strong team player.
