PLC Automation Engineer

They are seeking a PLC Automation Engineer to develop, enhance, and optimize advanced control systems, contributing to greater efficiency and innovation in industrial operations worldwide.

The Role

As a key member of the automation team, the PLC Automation Engineer will:

• Design and implement
  PLC-based automation solutions
  for complex industrial processes.
• Integrate PLC systems with
  SCADA, HMI, robotics, and sensor-based applications
  to enhance production efficiency.
• Conduct
  system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and continuous process improvements
  to ensure operational excellence.
• Collaborate with
  engineering, maintenance, and production teams
  to streamline automation workflows.
• Ensure compliance with
  industry regulations, safety protocols, and automation best practices
  .
• Lead commissioning and testing of new equipment, ensuring seamless integration into existing systems.
• Travel on-site to clients for approximately 30% of the time
  , supporting project implementation and system optimization.

The Person

The ideal candidate will bring:

• A
  Bachelors or Masters degree
  in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in
  PLC programming, industrial automation, and control system optimization
  .
• Familiarity with Siemens TIA Portal, Simatic STEP7, and Fanuc Robots is advantageous but not mandatory. Adaptability and a willingness to work across diverse automation platforms are highly valued.
• Strong knowledge of
  SCADA systems and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP)
  .
• An analytical and
  solution-oriented mindset
  , with the ability to troubleshoot complex automation challenges.
• Experience in
  project commissioning, system integration, and process optimization
