Senior Financial Analyst

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is a pioneering international organization that aims to make a real difference in people's lives. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst - Transaction Structuring to join our team.

We are looking for an experienced financial analyst with a strong background in transaction structuring, who can contribute to all phases of the project cycle, including origination, structuring, execution, implementation and monitoring.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Contribute to project structuring and execution by analyzing financial information, designing and using financial models, and evaluating potential risks related to proposed projects;
• Assist with the design and processing of technical cooperation assistance, including preparing terms of reference and internal approval documentation;
• Communicate effectively with other internal units, clients and stakeholders, at the operational level, such as preparing draft correspondence, presentations, and following up on internal emails;
• Evaluate and monitor project progress, financial performance of clients, and assess evolving risk factors, while ensuring compliance with project agreements and Bank procedures.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience; preferably a Master's degree or professional qualification;
• Strong quantitative/numerical skills, with the ability to interpret financial information and design and use financial models;
• Credit analysis skills, with the ability to interpret accounts, understand local and international accounting principles and practice of credit analysis;
• Excellent computer literacy, conversant with Microsoft Office and spreadsheet packages, including financial analysis and modelling modules;
• Good understanding of relevant systems and processes;
• Ability to work effectively as a team member and under time pressure;
• Good written and oral communication skills in English.
