Job Description

Are you passionate about supply? Can you ensure smooth functioning of communication and support daily? Then join Danfoss as Purchasing Specialist in our Global Logistics Department. We are looking for a new team member on a temporary one-year contract to cover up for a maternity leave. As a Purchasing Specialist you will act as a liaison between Danfoss' factories and customers from all around the world. You will be responsible for smooth flow of the day-to-day tasks within the assigned area and operational goals.

 

The role requires good English communication, and an additional plus is a good background of Production Planning to better contribute to the daily communication with the different factories and suppliers. You will work in our office in Kamnik, Slovenia.
 

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Material master data handling for DC plants following phase-out/-in strategy per code and Launch wave sequence
  • Secure release of purchase orders towards factories against Stock build qty per code on current portfolio materials- needs manual attention/ prio.
  • Close coordination with Factory planner on setting up production allocation for stock build,
  • Securing product availability 
  • Maintaining daily follow up on open, confirmed, and overdue orders.
  • Ensuring efficient and proactive communication within the operation.
  • Weekly follow up on stock vs decided stock build, as no freeze of inventory/daily sales allowed.

The ideal candidate possesses these skills. 

  • University education (preferable from economics, international relations, sales, etc.) or other relevant area.
  • Experience in a role of production planning and in senior supply chain role. 
  • Excellent knowledge and experience from purchasing and supply chain management.
  • Computer skills at advance level (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook).
  • Fluent in English language. As the role requires regular communication to different levels, experience from working with English in an international organization is preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of SAP is mandatory.
  • Very good communication skills.
  • Analytical, proactive, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Performance-, customer service-, detail-oriented.
