DevOps SW Engineer will review and maintain development processes, propose,
agree on improvements, and help implement them. Steer students who may help with DevOps tasks and in the future lead the DevOps team worldwide.
Development infrastructure:
- Based on inputs (problems, wishes) from the SW team, prepare tasks and work items related to building infrastructure and tools used.
- Evaluate technical novelties in the tools, processes, and architecture that we use as part of the SW development cycle and propose an enhancement to them.
- Build up a relationship with the IT department for a faster and easier turnaround of
changes/adaptations of new infrastructures and tools where IT support is necessary. - Review development processes for other departments, propose and agree on improvements and help implement them.
- Maintenance of current development infrastructure.
- Maintain documentation about current development infrastructure and processes.
Gitlab:
- Maintain GitLab groups/members and access levels to repositories.
- Maintain and improve Gitlab pipelines for projects.
- Maintain and optionally help migrate older repositories from Git to GitLab.
- Help with the migration of older Jenkins jobs and pipelines to Gitlab runners.
Management roles:
- Maintain, delegate, and prioritize backlog of DevOps tasks.
- Steer students who may help with DevOps tasks.
- Future career development: Lead DevOps team and coordinate work worldwide with all product development locations (New Zealand, Canada, Europe).
- Bachelorâs or masterâs degree in engineering or computer science.
- A solid understanding of good software development practices.
- Working experience in GitLab, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of networking communications and protocols.
- Knowledge of the Linux operating system.
- Knowledge of programming.
- Self-initiative, team-oriented and progressive personality.

- Salary up to 4500⬠gross/month.
